Eric Jacobsen | Founder & CEO
Eric has 28 years of experience in the senior housing industry in a wide variety of capacities. After a brief stint in sales for an international conglomerate, he went to work for a senior housing company preparing feasibility studies and doing development consulting. In his next job he directed and assisted with the development and acquisitions activities for one of the largest senior housing companies in America, followed by a job as VP of development and acquisitions for a smaller company where he was quickly promoted to chief operating officer, where he assumed the responsibility for all facility operations for the company including field operations, and corporate office support. Eric assumed the title of Chief Operating Officer later that year just prior to the company’s public offering. Since leaving his last job, Eric has developed or acquired and participates as an owner in approximately 29 senior housing communities. Eric is a graduate of the University of Oregon, with a degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance.
Lance Leland | COO
Lance has dedicated nearly 30 years to the senior housing industry, driven by a passion for supporting community teams and upholding company quality standards and culture keys. For Lance, these values aren’t just guidelines, they are the foundation of exceptional service. Throughout his career, Lance has held leadership roles at various levels, including Executive Director, Regional Director, and Vice President of Operations. His extensive experience has shaped his commitment to fostering strong, supportive work environments that feel more like family than just a job. Family is at the heart of everything Lance does. A devoted husband and father of three, he prioritizes spending quality time with his children. Whether coaching football and basketball with his sons or attending ballet performances with his daughter, he embraces every moment. Lance and his wife, Chris, live in Vancouver, WA, where they enjoy all the beauty and adventure the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Dan Muresan | Director of Plant Operations
Dan Muresan is the President of JF Construction Company, and his responsibilities include oversight of all new & existing projects, vendor selections, contracts, project estimating, and managing budgets. He enjoys the lifespan of construction – from the initial development stages to full occupancy. Dan’s goal of growing JF Construction is by providing the best possible living environment for residents throughout the country. From the beginning as a laborer in 1995, he earned a Bachelor’s in Business Management in 2002 and a minor in economics. Through many promotions, Dan has accumulated twenty-five years of experience and 1,500 construction projects completed. When away from the office, he enjoys swishing basketballs and throwing touchdowns in pickup games in and around the Portland area.
Leslie Davis | VP of Operations
Leslie has dedicated her career to serving others, with a special passion for senior care. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the field—her mother a certified medication assistant and her aunt a nurse in long-term care, Leslie discovered early on that her calling was to make a difference in the lives of seniors. With over 20 years of experience in operations and human resources, Leslie has held various leadership roles, including Resident Care Manager, Executive Director, and now Regional Director of Operations and Director of Human Resources. A hands-on leader, she believes in leading by example, fostering excellence, and supporting her teams at every level. For the past decade, Leslie has been an integral part of the Seasons Living team. As an Executive Director within the portfolio, she excelled in managing critical areas such as quality of care, occupancy, and expense control. Now, in her current role, she continues to apply her keen attention to detail and operational expertise, working closely with Executive Directors to provide guidance and support. Leslie’s commitment to seniors and the teams who serve them is evident in everything she does, making her a valued leader in the industry.
Debbie Johnston | VP of Clinical Services
Debbie has always had a heart for service. She began her career as a nursing assistant, EMT, and firefighter in Pennsylvania, where she discovered a deep passion for caring for others. That passion led her to pursue a career in nursing—a journey that has now spanned 35 years. While she has worked across multiple disciplines, senior care has always been her calling, with a special focus on Assisted Living and Memory Care. One of the most defining moments in Debbie’s career came when she worked in the country’s first stand-alone memory care community. It was there that she found her true purpose, supporting those living with dementia and ensuring they receive compassionate, dignified care. Since then, she has held leadership roles such as Wellness Director, Regional Director of Clinical Services, and Certified Administrator. In 2019, she joined Seasons Living, where she now serves as Vice President of Clinical Services. She works closely with Health Services teams, helping to enhance resident care, develop Memory Care programs, and ensure compliance, all while leading with a servant’s heart. Beyond her professional life, Debbie cherishes time with her family and finds joy in giving back through volunteer work. And when she’s not busy caring for others, you might just find her on the open road, she’s an avid motorcycle enthusiast who loves the freedom and adventure of the ride.
Phillip King | Regional Director of Operations
Phillip is a dynamic leader with a passion for creating meaningful experiences and high-quality care in the senior living industry. Beginning his career in hospitality management, he quickly discovered his drive to make a deeper impact leading him to transition into senior living, where his skills in leadership, risk management, and operational efficiency have flourished. With a proven track record of transforming challenges into opportunities, Phillip excels in optimizing operations while fostering a warm and supportive environment for both residents and staff. His hands-on approach at the community level ensures that day-to-day operations run smoothly while maintaining a strong focus on excellence in care. Known for his strategic mindset and dedication to continuous improvement, Phillip is committed to raising industry standards and enhancing the quality of life for seniors. His leadership philosophy is centered on collaboration, innovation, and a deep respect for the individuals he serves.
Steven Bae | VP of Organizational Development
Steven has been dedicated to the senior housing and healthcare industry since 1999, when he began his career as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at Heart of the Valley Nursing Home in Corvallis. His early hands-on experience in caregiving inspired him to shift his academic focus from Forestry to Healthcare Administration while attending Oregon State University. Upon graduation, Steven joined Sunwest Management, Inc., leading sales and marketing efforts for a newly opened senior living community. In 2003, he transitioned to Sunwest’s corporate office as a financial accountant, where he managed profit and loss statements, budgeting, bank reconciliations, and financial analysis for multiple properties. His expertise expanded into development and acquisitions, preparing market studies, overseeing pre-development activities, and securing financing for new projects. Additionally, he gained invaluable operational experience serving as the Administrator for three different assisted living and memory care communities. Steven holds a degree in Healthcare Administration with a minor in Business Management from Oregon State University. Over the years, he has maintained Administrator Certifications in Washington, New Mexico, Hawaii, California, and Oregon. Now, as part of Seasons Living, Steven plays a key role in providing operational support across the organization.
Kristen Howland | Corporate Controller
Kristen started her accounting career in senior living in the late ’90’s. She was hired as a Staff Accountant by a Portland-based senior living company in 1997 where she knew immediately she would never work in any other industry. Over the years, she has served as an accounting manager, assistant controller, and ultimately a controller for a large senior housing company in the Pacific Northwest. Kristen brings a very practical approach and a lot of experience to Seasons. Her keen attention to detail keeps the accounting department operating with accuracy and efficiency. Kristen has a BS in Business Management from Marylhurst University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time walking or hiking with friends and family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Amy Howell | Staff Accountant
Amy is an experienced accounting professional with a background in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, tax filings, and customer support. She has worked in senior living, property management, and software industries, bringing expertise in financial operations and compliance. With an Accounting Associate Degree from Clackamas Community College, Amy is known for her attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog.
Virginia Ballas | Senior Staff Accountant
Virginia brings over two decades of experience in General Ledger (GL) Accounting to her role at Seasons Living. Her expertise spans a diverse range of housing sectors, including apartments, condominiums, and senior living communities. Virginia earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Visayas, building a strong foundation for her career in financial management and reporting. Currently residing in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, John, and their daughter, Ayla, Virginia enjoys a well-rounded life outside of work. In her spare time, she has a passion for gardening, traveling, and cherishing moments with friends and family.
