The day flew by,” exclaimed Executive Director Jeni Sturdivant. Residents came in one by one into the fitness room at The Lodge In Sisters, an Independent & Assisted Living Community just outside the downtown core. The community gave 118 vaccinations to residents, staff, and community visitors. All eager to take one step closer in closing the chapter on the pandemic.
Residents had a range of emotions, from finally to a sense of relief. Many of the residents were asked why they chose to get vaccinations, and a few responded with health, their loved ones, and the community. All understood the reasons why the shot was required and didn’t hesitate.
We have two more rounds of shots scheduled for everyone’s second dose and any staff members that missed out,” explained Jeni. She continued by saying the outpouring of support from the community has been overwhelmingly positive.
